237. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen ...
So, I met with my movie friends -- there were 13 of us in total -- to watch Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Seriously, I have a problem in giving an overall rating. Action wise, I give it A-. Story wise, I give it D. Here are the reasons. I tried not to spoil any significant scenes ...
The Good Things:
+ The special effect is AMAZING!!! Way better than the first one. The transformation is so smooth.
+ It is a jammed-pack full-action movie!! I sat through 2.5 hours loving the action.
+ Did I say the special effect is amazing? *lol*
+ More robots and I'm glad that the humans take a back-seat this time. Robots fighting each other = mini-orgasm
+ Bumble Bee gets more screen shots and more action and more "feeling". He's so friggin' cute!
The Bad Things:
+ The storyline is so fu*king lame!! What's with trying to say "I Love You" in the middle of the war?? I mean, REALLY!!!
+ Some of the robots are insignificant. One robot even makes me shake my head and say, "Wait, is this Terminator or Transformers?"
+ Megan Fox -- the only thing good from her is just her body. She looks more like porn star. But guys will like her, I guess
+ There isn't enough Optimus Prime for me *boo*
+ Repetition of the war in the desert from the first movie; does not give something new.
+ Music wise, why does Michael Bay keep the Linkin' Park song in the end? The first movie, it appeared in the climax, boosted my adrenaline
There is something missing from the second movie -- the chemistry, maybe? Or the soul of the first movie? Action wise, I prefer the second movie. But I ♥♥♥ the first movie because of the "soul" it has. I have no better way to explain it. So I guess, overall, I will have to give it a C+?? BUT STILL, go watch it for the robots. You will be awed with the glorified Autobots and Decepticons. It's a child's dream come true.
PS: Have I ever told you all, when I was a little girl (about 11 - 12 year sold), I wanted to be able to drive a big truck because I had a crush on Optimus Prime? *giggles*
