152. Take over a group and my sister's problem ...
Wednesday morning ... my colleague texted me last night, said that she couldn't handle the group this afternoon. So, I had to take over for her. I don't mind because I will write the summary findings for this project anyway. It will be good if I moderate the first group so I can get the feel of it. But it will make me go home a little bit late, though.
Yes, I have to go home today because my sister is having a breakdown. She is in the process of writing thesis proposal for Master's Degree and she feels like she is hitting the wall. She called me yesterday, crying -- already called my Mom (also crying). This is her pattern. Always want to back out whenever she hits an obstacle that makes her feel inadequate. My parents are out of town, and my Mom already texted me yesterday, telling me to go home and console her *sigh*. I try to be stern with her, because she is a grown up and she cannot do this all the time. She needs to get her chin up and faces the problem, whatever it is. But still, I have to go home today, even if just to hear her crying, or let her sleep in my bedroom. That's the thing with little sister, isn't it?
