... Iron Man (and my boys) ...

So, I went out today to watch Iron Man with Nana (nice to see her, it's been like, uhm, months?). Guess what, I LIKE IT A LOT!! Not loving it, but the movie is quite entertaining. Sure, as far the storyline goes, it's the same old thing. Can't they find another enemy besides anybody who speak Arabic, for once?!? But, I didn't go to check this one out because of the storyline (heck, if I want great storyline, I will not go see movies about comic heroes, you know ;p). I did because of one factor:

Robert Downey Jr.

If you don't know that he's a genius, go and watch "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang", right now ^_^. I never really thought of him playing a superhero, but darn, he is SO GOOD. I'm so totally loving him right now, with his deep sardonic smile, his witty lines, his facial expressions, and he can be REALLY funny. And my, my, he bulked up for this movie. YUMM-MMY!

Oh, I also like the way the relationship between Tony Stark (Robert) and Pepper Potts (Gwyneth) being portrayed in the movie. It's like seeing Perry Mason and Della Street in a different situation *lol*. Their interaction is fun to watch (and I think Gwyneth was having fun with flirty RDJ *lol*). Overall, great kick for summer opener .- compared to few openers for the last couple of years (Spider-Man 3, everyone?). While it may not be the best superhero movie out there (the climax is rushed and feels more like anti-climax, if you ask me), believe me, it's still worth watching - thanks to RDJ who totally carries this movie flawlessly.

Now, I want to see how Edward Norton carries Hulk. Still not sure about his casting, but he is also a genius - maybe he can pull it off. Somehow. Oh, RDJ will be here too as cameo!

FINALLY! It goes back to the very essential question of this season: How in the Hell can the boys save Dean?! It's maddening to think that there's only 2 episodes left and there aren't enough clues YET about how they can do it. I love their argument in the first scene (emo Winchester boys are the BEST!) - but the best thing is when Dean finally, FINALLY, confesses how scared he is. I know Dean looks like he lacks of emotion, but some people are like that. I might have the same kind of reaction. But the way he says it, it's good enough for me. Of course, the way the close the episode is classic "Supernatural" lines that I just adore. "Want a poem?"

AWWWW, I love my boys. What will happen in the next 2 episodes, I can't imagine. I mean, how can they wrap all these in just 2 episodes??? BUT I LOVE my boys!! I hope the season will ends with a BANG

PS: The girl who played Lanie? Maybe it's just me, but when I saw her, I was like ... whoaaa young Maggie Gylenhaal look-alike :)

Oh, I went to a bookstore today - and guess what I bought? It's Stephenie Meyer's book! No, no, not "Breaking Dawn". That one is not out yet. Even if it's out, I'm not sure if I'm going to jump right to purchase it. I know it's the end of the "Twilight" series, but I wasn't that impressed with the 2nd and 3rd books, so I'm not exactly THAT excited with the 4th book (at least, it'll be the end of it, thank GOD! I can't stand it if it's being dragged too long). I'm getting off track here -- it's her other novel. Her first ADULT novel: "The Host". I was intrigued with the plot when I read it at Amazon.com, and to see it already being available here was so cool! So I purchased it (yeah, one of those impulsive purchases thingy) and I got 20% discount for it, so it was like around $14, which is quite a good bargain for me, comparing it with the price at other bookstores.

Phewww, quite a long entry there ^_^

Last, just one last thing ... I really, REALLY, enjoy driving my Dad's car for the past 2 days. I first had my license 11 years ago, and I would like to think that my ability behind the wheel has improved a lot. I'm quite good on the street, either driving fast or just go butt-head with the public transportation cars during traffic jam (lol).
