i think you can skip it. or just read it when you have nothing else to read. i just think the story is repetitious and it's not getting any improvements. this is the final shopaholic book for me.
Gosh, I wish I'd read 15 books already. I'm so so SLOW!
I really liked A Spot of Bother. I've heard a lot of mixed opinions on it. I think people read it with expectations from A Curious Incident but obviously it's completely different.
i can be a fast reader when it comes to authors with writing style that i love. but i SUCK in details (lol). but i guess since TV shows are on hiatus during writers' strike, it helped a lot to fill my time by reading
yes, "a spot of bother" is different with "curious incident". but somehow i can't really feel the sympathy for the characters except for jamie. i love his story and it was the only one that kept me going
It's interesting how people identify with different characters. I quite liked them all but I loved George (if that was the main guy). I guess because that's how I would have dealt with it too, privately that is.
I don't have a GoodReads account. Are they good? I used to have an account with Shelfari (or something) but I didn't really like how the system worked and most book sites work the same. E.g. they have different editions for the same book so if you liked one, it recommends the same book but in a different edition. I love sites like that though, where you can keep track of things and get recommendations :)
I think Goodreads is fun, because you can keep track on what your friends are reading and see what they're thinking about the books. You can comment and such. I like it there because I know what my friends are reading or think about reading - so if they think the books are good, I can consider to buy the book too. I know Shelfari but I'm not comfortable with it
You did pretty good Ami! Better than me anyway's (but we always knew you would right!). I started the year so well but then got obsessed with reading Bones fanfic and haven't touched a book since. :-/
I just got 40 for Christmas from my friends and am looking forward to a bit of light fun reading.

If you like, you can check my Goodreads account first. It's here: http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/18663579
then you can decide whether you'd like to join or not.
