Blitzfest
Friday: mom cam to school and took Dan and I out for some dinner at like 2:30. Yeah...a pretty early dinner, but the food at Blitzfest was expensive. Which, I might add...was ridiculous. A small 5' by 10' cart on wheels that is charging me 3 dollars for a hot dog...sickening! We got to my church and had to wait for Lapeer to get there so us girls practiced for our special music thing. It sounded quite good too! So...Lapeer came and then we all drove to BLITZFEST!!! It was only 20 minutes from my church...awesome! We found Josh, Matt and all those guys(Pistol Whipped Kelly) after a little while. Hung out at the FourStreams Stage for a while. Watched Boink play and then headed down to the main stage. Everyday Sunday!!! I liked them a ton. I was up in the front row jumping all around and junk...it was fun! Brent kept screaming at the band and they were laughing at him. ha, it was funny. After they played we stayed and watched Starfield play. Again...a great band! I hung out with them for a while after they played. They all signed my t-shirt...twice actually, haha. So, Friday's concerts were all good. We left after Skillet played and got back to my church at about 11:30..maybe, I'm guessing. My YP got us some pizza...mmm! Then a bunch of us played Dodgeball and I'm proud to say that I never got hit! YES! The guys from Ohio were playing pretty vicious..kind of scared me. haha. After Dodgeball I hung out with Becky for a while. Mna, that was freaky. My mom coming around the corner dressed all in white! WHOA. After a while Andrea and Jessica showed up and we tried to scare them, but it didn't work so well. We played Men In Black. Except..Andrea and Jessica snuck out of the sanctuary without us knowing. So, we're all climbing under pews and acting like amps and they weren't even there! Nice. Didn't get to bed until around 4...then woke up at 9.
Saturday: Woke up, ate some breakfast and headed back to Blitzfest just in time to see Pistol Whipped Kelly. Matt did an awesome job on the drums! Josh threw a shirt into the crowd and a group of 5 girls started fighting over it, then it got down to 2 girls and they were rolling on the ground trying to rip it from each others hands. It was pretty insane! After PWK played, we watch Aidan-ADORA. They were awesome! They had screaming AND a keyboard...awesome! Plus, the lead singer sounded like the guy from Emery. nice. After they played we went over to see A Public Hanging. I got a free t-shirt and sticker from them...i gave a $2 donation though. They all signed my t-shirt too, so that was pretty wicked. After watching them play...some of us jumped in the Jurassic Park thing. It was deflating while we were in it! Becky and I tried to teeter-totter and we just fell, then I tried to sit on a dinosaur and I went face first into the mat. That was pretty funny. The guys came in after a while and they were trying to tip it over...almost did too! After that I went on the bungee jumpy thing. I did a flip! Yes! haha. Im not too sure what happened after that. I think I tried to sleep because I was burning hot and had no energy left in me! After I woke up I went up front to watch Kids In The Way. They were awesome! After that I went to see Nevertheless. Talked to the guitrist for a while. Then went to see Slingshot57. Nash almost kicked me in the face! I was pretty freaked out. After they played we all hung out with Nash for a long time. He was one funny kid. He kept telling us about how he's an Eagle Scout and about the bands random funny stories. It was a good time. After that adventure we watched Thousand foot Crutch, then Pillar and then went home! Finally! I slept the entire way home and when we got to Dan's house I had no idea what was going on. It was crazy,
So...all in all Blitzfest was awesome. I'll be back next year!
