The short heel matches my attention span.

So... I finally caved and bought these shoes I've been eyeing since the beginning of January on Etsy.

I happened upon them whilst looking for a pair of VERY specific shoes to replace some I have and only half like... which sounds stupid when I say it that way.  I like everything about them except that they're peep-toe and wedges.  So I'm looking for some non-peep-wedge heels that I can transfer the other design elements to.   I still haven't found those yet, but I did find what I immediately started calling the "Grimm" shoes.

They're red suede, they have curvy little spool heels, they have criscrossy laces up the front, and they totally look like something Snow White would be wearing in one of the old fairy tale books I read when I was a kid.  I favorited them, and every time I went into my favorites list to look for supplies or something, there they were, sparking another long stupid debate in my head-

"But I already have some red high heels."
"Those are DARK red... these are just red."
"So?"
"These have spool heels... you like spool heels."
"But the heel is too short, they're the same proportions as the not-quite-perfect wingtips."
"The problem with those is more that it's a little pointy afterthought of a heel, not the height."
"It's partly the height."
"Think how cute these would look with a skirt with dark skeletal twisty trees screenprinted on it."
"I don't need another dang skirt!"
"You've been wanting to try screenprinting, it would be a fantasic project to try it out with."
"I've already got six unfinished skirts kicking around... no, seven... eight. I don't need another one!"
"Well the screenprinting wouldn't look as good on a shirt."
"Wasn't this supposed to be about shoes?"

You can see why it took me a couple months to actually get around to buying them.  Also, I will most likely be making nine skirts now.
