Lol, a dark ambient artist I like recently came out with a new CD (yay). I see 46 new&used copies on amazon :), an epic number because his audience is so small. I understand he used musicians from Tool, Ozbornes, and Melvins, but it sounds nothing like pop music (as it shouldn't). I envision dozens of kids buying it thinking it would be some new dark metal thing and going "ew what is this?" and trying to pawn it off quickly. heh this pleases me. Frankly I question his use of these artists, one track uses clearly distinguishable electric guitar that really distracts from the ambience. The samples of the other tracks don't sound like that but I hope the rest is uncontaminated by "normal" music. Honestly if I want "normal" music I'll go turn on the radio or some such (which I rarely do, FM anyway).
