However the appearance of a domesticated cat that seems to have taken a liking to me is a bit odd. She's (how I know it is female is beyond me, I simply seem to know) done little but sit in my bed and stare at me,

If having your genetic twin use you as a puppet to torment those close to you while being trapped in your own mind makes me lucky, then I am quite lucky.
