Yay I've hit week 30 with this pregnancy this means less then 10 weeks to go before my twins are here. On my Live journal entry I had someone congratulate me for reaching this milestone as so many twins come even before then. (My cousin and his wife had their twins at 27 weeks and 4 days). The girls are doing well and are VERY active. Most of the time I can't sit still for more then a few minutes before they start jumping around. Its the oddest feeling. At week 30 its estimated that they are about 15 inches long each and about 3lbs to 3.5 lbs each. Between now and birth they are mostly developed enough to survive outside the womb and spend most of this time putting on weight and completing the development of their lungs. As for me, I get to suffer with charlie horses in my lower legs and in the arches of my feet and my ankles feel so swollen and achey even though they look fine.
In my most recent post on Live Journal I was mentioning how my doctors want to talk about induction of my kids at week 38 if they haven't already been born by then and how I didn't want this. I'd rather let my kids stay in just a little longer if they aren't ready to come out on their own yet. Of course they may need the extra time but I also think it would be cool if they came on their due date which coincides with my grandfather's 100th birthday. Its not like I'm trying to plan which day would be best for them to arrive but why do some people give flack for thinking it would be cool just the same? It doesn't make sense.
We've been 3 weeks now at our new condo and we're finally getting the girls room unpacked (ie unpacking all the boxes that got stashed there since we really don't have any baby stuff yet til after my showers later this month). I'm hoping to have all the stuff that doesn't belong in there moved to other rooms before my baby showers so I'll have somewhere to put all the baby stuff when I do get it. We've already gotten some cute girl clothes but only 2 outfits so far that match. My sister Pixel giving me one of them. (I'd post a picture if I had one- they are simply too hard to describe properly). She also gave me these baby blanket dolls that are giraffs that I absolutely LOVE. Of course so do all my nieces and nephews and I've had to hide them away when the kids come over. I'm really getting excited about the arrival of the girls and although I'm certain it will be a lot of hard work it will be totally worth it.
Picture is of me only a few days before Easter. I've really grown a lot but still have 2 months left. I don't see how I'll manage it but I'm sure I'll be ok.
