[A princess? And one he hasn't met, hasn't had his parents trying to force him to "get to know her better?" If they were in each other's presence right now, he'd be casually leaning forward and turning on all his charm.]
Prince Phoenix of Aeropa. A pleasure to make your acquaintance~
It's a beautiful city - though not as beautiful as you, I'm sure. The city is on an island on the edge of the ocean, so there's a grand view in all directions. The weather is fairly temperate year round, though of course there's often a good deal of rain. The city itself has very grand architecture, with plants interspersed to ensure a feeling of life everywhere.
[Awww he's trying to flatter her. Odette would think that was sweet, if she wasn't into older men. Seriously, if he's anything like Derek, age included, she is just not interested.]
That does sound very lovely. It's fall where I am from. The leaves are starting to change such bright pretty colors.
[Well, he is a teenage boy. There's bound to be a few similarities.]
Are they really? I'd love to see your home. Where do you live? Perhaps I can convince my parents to talk to your parents about arranging a visit the next time I have leave.
[Actually, now that he thinks about it, that sounds like a brilliant idea. Spending a week or two with a princess he's never met versus spending that time with his parents? Princess wins, no question at all.]
Unfortunately, I don't know. Even worse, I don't know your name. Would you do me the honor of helping me solve the second problem at least?

[She doesn't sound impressed.]
You don't know anyone named Derek do you?

No, I don't. Should I?

Good. No, you shouldn't. I've never heard of Aeropa. What's it like there?
