(no subject)
I received a wedding invitation in the mail today, from one of my 4th grade teaching colleagues. She taught next door to me for the past 3 years, and is getting married next month?!?! I have no idea where this came from. She had not mentioned anything about even thinking about getting engaged, etc. I know her boyfriend had moved in with her near the beginning of June, but that was the only thing she had told us.
So the wedding is next month, on the 23rd of August, and we start our teacher workdays the next week. She isn't coming back to Signal Hill, because of many problems between Donna and her, but she had gotten a job teaching middle school, so I assume she's going to still do that.
I am completely shocked to get this invitation. I can't imagine what is going on. Also on the invitation it says, "Gift certificates preferred", which I think is in bad taste, but I'm not sure.
