Summertime
Well, it seems that I have not updated in a while. I think that this is my 4th or 5th week of summer vacation; if it is, then I am halfway through. Where did all the time go? Lord knows I have not watched nearly enough court TV shows and have not sat around in my pajamas until 3 PM enough days.
This past week consisted mainly of packing and helping Dave move. It was hot and there were many stairs and boxes. And it was hot. And I was sweaty. I did have dinner with Diana on Wednesday and went to the doctor and had Chorale Board meeting on Thursday. This weekend so far we went to "the farm" in Chantilly to pick up a kitty for Diana, although I'm sure she will tell you more about that, and tomorrow is my big birthday party with the fam. Hopefully the psychoticism will be kept to a minimum. I did have a good birthday, with lunch with the fam and Alyssa hosting a party for me at her house.
I have read a couple good books so far this summer. I ganked Dave's new copy of "21 Dog Years With Amazon.com" or something similar to that title, and read that earlier this week. I also read another Ann Tyler novel, "Breathing Lessons". I think I may try to read all her books eventually although there are a lot of them.
I'm going now to the store to get a birthday present for Josh, my cousin. I think his birthday was actually the 18th but his party is getting lumped with mine and we're throwing in my aunt (figuratively, not literally, thank goodness, because she is a large woman) to add to the birthday fun.
