So, yeah. That was the view of the sunset from NorthBay, where the younglife retreat was. It was simply gorgeous, simply breathtaking. I loved it so much there. It was a really fun weekend, minus the being cold part. I sat next to this girl Keara on the bus, she's a freshman and I had never met her before but it turned out that she was in my cabin and she was so fun the whole weekend. I ended up sitting on Ryan Linehan's lap like..half the bus ride there cause he was moving around the whole time and never really had his own seat. But he was being so nice, it was a change and I liked it. We talked a lot about stuff we don't normally talk about so yeah. My favorite part about the weekend wasn't the clubs, (well, minus Saturday night..that's always the best), or the food, or the cabin talks (although those were fun too), but probably the times Ijust walked around the place and talked with people, or laying on the couches in the lounge trying to stay warm, taking pictures of the "boys with the good hair." Oh lord I got made fun of. There were these two guys that had the "swoosh" hair, as we were calling it. And it was just really pretty, so I wanted pictures. Um...okay, so I'm weird. Whatever.
But anyway, Saturday was really fun..we had a huge scavenger hunt and we were running around all over the place and I mean..it was freezing outside. We were out there taking off our jackets and long sleeve shirts we were sweating so bad. But it was still fun none the less. I felt like going and doing something during free time, but nobody else from my cabin wanted to go out. So Sam Morrow, from the other SP cabin was like hey I'll go with you. Well, neither of us knew the other's name even, but we went anyway. We walked around the beach and eventually went down to the zipline (land zipline..duh) and waited for a good half hour in the cold, she met some guy that was hitting on her the night before and that morning. They were so cute, I love the younglife couples that form over camps. We finally did the zipline and that was when I saw the sunset, but I left my camera down at the bottom of the tower so I couldn't get the best view. I went around taking pictures.
Before dinner, Jessica, Christine, and I snuck into the counselor's lounge area and Jessica got us coffee. It pays to be friends with your counselor. I didn't get to see Pat that much, but I saw him when we were waiting to go inside the dining hall. I was shaking from being so cold and I just stood there hugging him for a couple minutes and that was really nice cause like I said, I felt like that was all I needed, a hug from Pat. All the Broadneck girls were being so rude about it cause Bneck and SP are rivals. Who effing caresssss. Whatever, after dinner we had club again and then the 15 minutes by ourselves outside...so so so cold. But it was nice. We had a little bit of free time after that and we all went in the lounge and just talked, and I hung out with Pat a bit, and Sara and Beth and Emily oh goodness. I loved the fact that they were there on workcrew. Pat walked me back to my cabin cause I was so cold I was like..not walking too well haha. Sunday morning we had brunch and then club again, and then we left. We left...it went by so fast. The bus home was fine, just listened to my cd player the whole time, mostly just Spitalfield and Fools and Horses.
Sadly, I didn't do much this break cause I was sick the whole time at camp and til Wednesday. Which really sucked. Monday I don't think I did anything, until dance at 6:30. I got a costume finally for my solo, and I finished the dance too. BRittany's cousin picked us up and so we all talked on the way home, that was a nice change. Tuesday I don't remember doing anything either until the dance show that night. I sat with Lauren Hall and wow. I need to quit dance right now because those girls were..simply amazing. Ashley Canterna, that dance she did on Star Search last year that they pretty much told her that she sucked, yeah. That was insanely amazing when we saw it. Even more so live than on tv. And JAMILE was there! Oh, yes. He was the special guest, I loved it. Yeah, the 10 year old boy who had better technique than me. He was outstanding, I wanted to cry.
Wednesday I went to Dustin's. Yeah. Got home a half hour past curfew but whatev. That was just...weird.
So Thursday morning I woke up and read Perks of Being a Wallflower. Good book, kinda made me feel really refreshed..partly cause it was a good book, and partly because I just started and finished it that morning. We went to David and Shauna's house for Thanksgiving and it was fun but..I dunno. Rachel wasn't there, I wish she was. It didn't feel like Thanksgiving at all. But we saw Aunt Cindy and that whole family, they came up from Mississippi. So yeah..thennn we got home and I had to sit on the floor of the van fr the 2 hour drive. It was um...lovely.
Yesterday was fun, I actually went out and did something and had fun. Well, I finished the book Rainbow party. 2 down i ntwo days, sweet. I got a shower and Kevin came over, then Steph, then Brooke. We left around 6:45 to go to Annapolis mall and we listened to Panic at the Disco the whole way and that made me happy. We got there and ate cheesesteaks then Kev and Steph went and got ice cream, they came back and Brooke and I went to get a smoothie, Steph walks over to me to tell me that "that Brad kid from our english class is over there" I handed her my smoothie and seriously sprinted acoss the food court back to our seats and hugged Brad. Oh my God you have no idea how happy I was to see him. I felt bad I hugged him cause he girlfriend was like..right there. But I miss him so so so much, you have no idea. Brooke and Steph left and went to American Eagle and Kevin and I went to Hot Topic to see Dave cause he was working. Kev wandered around the store and I stood there and talked with Dave. I gave him 3 dollars for food (that's all I had left) and I got a kiss on both cheeks. HECKyes go Kelsey. haha kidding, you gotta know Dave. We met back up with Brooke and Steph in the food court and went to the movie.
Which, was frickin awesome. And I cried, because I cry in every movie I ever possibly see. But that's okay. Afterwards we're about to go down the escalator and I hear "SHEWBRIDGE" and I was like uhh..hey that's me. Ryan Linehan was behind us and I had seen him in the movie theatre but I couldn't tell who was with him. But I could tell once he was right behind me, Jack Jeter. Whoa..long time no see. So we left and the adventure home was the gas mileage left. Our tank was on empty, and it said "0 miles left before tank is empty" yeah. That was good. We didn't stop for gas..at all. Kev got home safely though.
STOP TOUCHING ME I'M DRIVING!
*HUG* WHY ARE YOU HUGGING ME? HE TOLD ME SO! YOU LIIIKE IT!
Those were the two lines of the drive home..oh yes.
I read more of Lullaby when I got home anddd now here I am. Sweeeet huh?
I know you hate me for writing so much. I can't help it =)
