Some questions to revive the comm!
Some time ago, as I was surfing TV Tropes (or more specifically, the Ship Sinking page, I was greeted with this:
Though not as well known, the Athrun x Meyrin]] ship was *also* sunk when Athrun gave a "LikeBrotherandSister" speech to Meyrin. It's unknown whether or not their shippers are still harping on it because either they don't know about the CD Dramas or don't care. The directors also went out of their to erase all the scenes that could have been mistaken for romantic between the two in both Final Plus and the subsequent specials. Though it probably didn't help matters when some particularly rabid Athrun x Meyrin shippers photoshopped a Athrun x Cagalli fanart so that Cagalli looked liked Meyrin, and added fake Japanese on the picture so that it would look like a commercial for the next Gundam Seed franchise.
I asked for proofs and evidence of such claims, and this is what I got.
This picture is really this picture some rabid Meyrin x Athrun fans just edited the two girls who was supposed to be Cagalli, and her daughter and gave them pink hair (to look like Meyrin and her offspring). Then added fake japanese so that the picture would look like an advertisement for a new Seed franchise. The fanart came from a well known Athrun x Cagalli fansite, was about two years old by the time they decided to edit it.
The problems? The supposed "fanart" doesn't seem to exist, or at least the link given is broken. There was no link to the "well-known" Athrun x Cagalli fansite. And I have been searching for CD drama info and haven't found it.
So, if any of you have more concrete info *and* links to it, could you please confirm this? Or is it just wankbait?
