billy's uncle's funeral was today (danny mattingly) rip. it was so hard for me to see the biggest jokesters and pranksters ive known to be sad, mellow, and crying. billy really was a man today... the speech he wrote was wonderful-he really did cover danny to the point...from his sense of humor to his heart. a bunch of the softball players he coached were there all crying. It's a shame he never had kids-he woulda been a great dad.
after i went out to the ranch. i needed it. i asked onea the guys to leave the gate open for me and they did. on my way out there was a buncha vultures, so i chased them off to see what they were devouring-it was a six and 1/2 foot gator upside down floating. never seen a naturally dead gator before-normally they sink. i love the ranch...
i still need to talk to bret. he thinks i'm mad at him-i'm not. i just need to explain my dilemma to him. I pray we can still be cool.
