Well, I had an interview for a new job monday, and get this:
They didn't ask me my strengths and weaknesses (I was ALL SET for that one).
They didn't ask how I deal with stress.
They didn't ask me what I do if I have issues with co-workers.
They didn't ask for references.
Desperation anyone?
I'm still not sure if I want to take it, but I mean, I would be closer to all my friends (and within an hour of my new friends I've made), I would be in the same town with the guy I'm dating (miracle, I know), and I wouldn't be working 2nd shift anymore.
But, do I really want to take the job if they are that desperate? Plus, they said I will only have two weeks to start working there, which means, I would have to put in my two weeks notice, leaving my manager and my other employee to train the new person (and they are already overworked), find an apartment to move into and get out of my current lease, all in that time. Little rushed maybe? And I mean, if they are going to be this way about a HUGE decision like RELOCATING, how are they going to treat my valid concerns (should they arise) working there?
Basically, I've decided i'll only take the job if they are going to offer me 25,000+ and if they give me no less than three weeks to move/work my two weeks at the newspaper. I like Asheville, and I'm usually not materialistic, but paying off that student loan I have ASAP would be great.
