So we were supposed to have a regatta this weekend and do some racing, but for some reason or another the women's teams got canceled, and we just had practice in the morning. Even though there wasn't a regatta, Melv came up for the weekend, and my family came up for the day on Saturday. It was a good time, and now the apartment has a couch. XD Danielle and I showed Melv around the city since he hadn't been up to Milwaukee before, and took him around Marquette and so forth. He met a bunch of my friends Friday night, and the three of us went to eat at this Italian place downtown. The weekend went by quickly, and I'm glad Melv finally was able to come up here and visit. :)

Yesterday, our landlord gave Danielle and me a look at a couple of the one-bedrooms we're going to be moving into in June. The studio she's in now is counted as "temporary housing", so we'll sign a 12-month lease once we move into the bigger apartment. He let us have first pick since we're already tenants and we had this all figured out back in early March. The place is nice, and only one floor above where she is now. It'll be good times moving in, and gives me another reason to look forwards to the summer.

Speaking of the summer, I have a job lined up that I'll start in May. I'm just working on campus, doing groundskeeping type things. My hours are from 6am-1:30pm, so I get it out of the way early. I'm not a morning person, but I'm going to have to be once the fall semester rolls around since varsity crew practices at like 6am, so I figured by keeping this job I'll be used being up early already in September. XD But yeah, I'll be outside all the time, so I'm going to be so taaaaaan, and that's not counting the rowing I'll get to do while I'm up here. \o/ I wanted to work on-campus and not have to worry about taking the bus everywhere either, so hopefully this works out well. My coach said she did something like this when she was a freshman, and that it was a perfectly good summer job. We'll see how it goes. :O

It's ridiculous to think that I have less than a month of school left. Less than three weeks of class, and then finals. I guess the days go by faster when you're not constantly counting them down. Being so busy recently has also helped with this second half of the semester flying by. Hey, it's April 15th. It's been a month. :O

And omg that acen deadline. >>
