Serious topic
I wanted to write a post like this a long time ago,but didn't find the right words.
Now,it's time to write it.
I'm in the L'Arc fandom since 2004.I actually started to seriously like L'Arc in 2003,but at that time,I didn't have a fast internet connection and I paied per minutes,so I staied online only a little.
In these last years,I met wonderful people who genuinely like L'Arc like me *waves at the whole my friends-list*
People who loves them,but are also able to see things objectively.
As for me,I bet you all know my favourite is tetsu.
But this doesn't mean I don't like the other three.On the contrary I like hyde,ken and yukihiro very much.
And the above is the point.And,apart from the fandom who like them all,I met two other kind of fans:
-who likes one of them and despises one,two of all the others
-who likes one of them and think everything spin around their favourite(like "only thanks to *insert name* that song is wonderful")
I read several topics written by the two kind of fans(even if I'm wondering if they can call theirselves "fans") and seriously,I quit immediately reading 'cause it made me angry reading such things.If you don't like them as a band,follow the solo work of your favourite,it isn't my problem,but please stop saying your favourite is the best and the others,or one of the other,are only contour.
I also met people who asked "you like *insert name again*???Why??? *insert name again* is a way better!!!How couldn't you see how much is wonderful???He's so *insert something here*!!The songs he writes are the best!!!" etc...
And even if some people doesn't reach that kind of degeneration,I heard/read things likes "he's so perfect,wonderful,beautiful *insert other words*".Like they knew them.Like their favourite/s is/are perfect,some kind of unique living creature blessed by God with the perfection.
And the best part is they claim they know how L'Arc are and what they think.They see things that exist only in their mind and demand to impose their view to other people.Dont you dare contradict them!
They are the only repositeries of the truth of their favourite member/s.
So,to all these so-called "fans",I wanna ask: are you really sure you can label yourself as a fan?
Even if you go around saying :" X is perfect I'm totally sure is a sweet,kind,beautiful person, Y is hateful I'm sure of that,they should find someone else" ?
No,in my opinion you aren't a fan.
I had the luck to see L'Arc live three times and in my opinion they are a whole.
A beautiful whole.
And I love them as a unit.
