Hello everyone, been a while. It's been months since I last posted. School was pretty hectic, as everybody had to fuss around projects and clearances.
Last March 17, 2009, a new member was to join my family.
Mom and I have decided to get a LUTS-Kid Delf Aru. I remember the first time I saw her. I had found that the standard SD was a tad too big for me, and so I scoured the net for an affordable, high-quality MSD. I checked the Volks MSD's, but I didn't think I found the type of expression I was looking for. I then checked Bobobie line, cheap, but they didn't really catch my eye. I then heard a lot from LUTS and so I gave it a try. I checked out the Kid Delf line and as I scrolled down the page, my eyes were immediately glued to a picture on the bottom left corner. I clicked it and found the very image I was looking for. It was like the vague image I had in my mind had been realized in a photo.
I called Mom and she had the same reaction. She found her absolutely adorable and she fit right into the budget. I was going to order her with the KDW-42 (Blonde) wig and request her to have eyes in [MEDIUM BLUE].
After a week, I attended the Casa Xocolat Meet and met a lot of the members and made friends. It was my first meet and I was absolutely culture shocked. (Thank you Krishna, it was the perfect term!) It was my first time to see BJD's live and I was right, the standard SD really was too big for me. I was able to get a good look at
darknessfatale's Reaiah and
magiqa's Lori. Lori was supposed to be as big as Aru and she was just right. I wasn't able to join the After Meet and go to The Shelf (damn it!). The meet had made me want a BJD all the more.
Now that it’s been practically four days, I’m already filled with excitement. I haven’t been sent word that she’s already been shipped. It’s nerve-wracking. I’m always thinking about her, and what name I should give her. Getting a BJD has become a dream come true for me, so I want to make it special. I have a long list of names and they’re all so nice, but it’s hard to decide. I hope I could last until she arrives.
A friend once told me she couldn't eat right while waiting for her dolls, and it's happening to me. I wish someone could help me calm down.
