THAT"S THE END?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also, how hot was my TV husband saving the Earth and sacrificing himself all those times?!?! Beckett was even obliging enough to land so that he can boat ashore and come see me in my hometow. San Francisco SHOUT-OUT! WHOOOO! Made me so happy. Story-wise WTF WERE THEY THINKING destroying the chair!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now at least one ship will have to guard Earth at all times. Totally makes sense to have moved it (FINALLY) but that was darn stupid storytelling.
ALSO!!!!!! Writers, YOU ARE ON NOTICE that my Sheppard better get his full-bird promotion out of all his saving of Earth and sacrificing himself and wiping out the Wraith pretty much all by himself! Before you correct me, think about it. Even if the others hadn't come on board or Atlantis hadn't tried the wormhole drive, or it had failed, or they had lost or anything else would have happened, Sheppard still would have single-handedly saved Earth and destroyed the hive through the self-sacrificing and oh-so brave gesture of bringing the 302 on the Hive and detonating the nuke. All that the presence of the others changed was to enable him to escape the blast. See, I'm right. Now where are his effing medals and promotions. He's saved Earth and the galaxy tons of time from afar but now he did so up close and personal that no one can deny him.
Speaking of Beckett, either he's been practicing all these years with Sheppard or Michael made some adjustments with the clone. I love the confirmation in CANON of John having the strongest gene expression or CIA (HAH at Rodney's pettiness and jealousy to the end). Interesting that Both John and Beckett are better than O'Neill. I thought they had tacitly confirmed many times that about John BUT BECKETT!?!?! Yikes.
Todd was SO F#$%ING fabulous! I can't believe they are teasing us like that. Not sure why people assume Torren John etc didn't come with them. Looked like the city came ASAP with complete complement.
Also, the General Hammond BROKE my heart. Very classy. Guess everyone was wrong about the moon base even exisiting or Sam leading it since she's going to take the General Hammond
Caldwell was sexy and awesome too. Love seeing him working so well and respecting John's judgment and doing so great with his crew (Marks! Great to see you! Kavanaugh, eh...nice to have the little call-back and at least he cut off the nasty rat tail.). Looks the Chinese got or..at least had..oops..their own ship. Not sure I approve of that. So the Chinese get one before the Russians get the one they sacrificed saving everyone at the Super Gate. Guess that SG-1 and golden-boy Mitchell were off with the Apollo on the extra-secret mission (gee, could they be finding the Destiny or whatever the stupid new SGU ship's name was).
Also, MAJOR Davis!?!?! The guy would have been forced to retire six or seven years ago at the very latest if he had still been a major by federal law. That is just sheer laziness and sloppiness by the writers.
WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM SO SAD!!!!!!!! I can't believe it over but yes, they left it incredibly open for the movie with Todd and Ronon/Amelia (incredibly cute although how did she get more lines than TEYLA!?!?!) and whether they can take Atlantis back and wormhole drive (dude, they could be flying all over the place if they had the power). ALSO, Teyla seemed very alone and available there. I am preserving hope. They cannot leave my beloved Sheppard in such a crappy emotional place. Although I love that he's the lethal protector to the end, confronting Todd and protecting us all.
P.S. If Rodney's lame cliched line to Keller was the last line of the show I would have vomited and had to hunt the writers down and bitchslap them until they cried like the wimpy little girls that they are.
P.P.S. Updated thought:
How American-biased is it that now both the Chinese and Russians have lost their space ships in canon. Next ship to be briefly operational and then toast? I assume the French's Charles de Gaulle or whatever they choose to name it and the British's Winston Churchill (I'm choosing that as their ship name because that would ROCK!) as the last members of the IOA alliance. LOL.
Since the Russians didn't get a replacement, does that mean that no one but the Air Force gets new ships?
They sure build them slowly. They can build a carrier, which is much, much bigger and heavier (Over 6,000 people live on them to give you an idea of size), in a year, and they have only managed the Prometheus, the Daedalus and the Apollo (with Asgard help), the Russian and Chinese ships and the Hammond in the last eight years!?!?! I object! American industry is faster than that. Especially since you KNOW that they did not put the job out to bid.LOL!
