i was in some random women's clothing chain at lunch and i almost fell over when i heard the absolute ABOMINATION playing over the speakers. it was a house/nrg version (remix? cover?) of elton john's tiny dancer, replete with synthesisers and a happy boppy beat.

but the worst part?

they changed the lyrics to .. wait for it .. "hold me closer, SHINY DANCER."
