Transformers Revenge of the Fallen

OK, so the last post I did wasn't actually my last. I was stupid. I wasn't thinking I'd have to post my review for the best toy line franchise ever created by human hands. PLus I heard from a little bird that Mohead wanted to know what I thought of it. :)

So here it is. I loved it. Screw what the reviews on line and on the radio are saying. I loved it and so did Laura. We laughed, we cried, we gasped. We had a good time. See, once I got over my whole "Oh no, they're totally fucking up how the Transformers look and the storyline doesn't match anything" shit from the first one, the next 2 (yes there's going to be a third) are going to be cool shit. I'm not picking it apart trying to find the holes in the storyline or bitch because this robot or that robots didn't get enough screen time. I don't care. My only concern is 1. Did I have a good time and enjoy the movie? and 2. Was it worth my hard earned money that I can't really spare on such luxuries? A big yes to both.

To the people who are whining and complaining about it being racist or the storyline had no plot or whatever their beef......the fucking movie wasn't made to win an academy award you fuck, so get the hell over it. It's a Bay movie, which means lots of shit is going to blow up, there won't be a huge plot (like there can be with fighting robots anyways) and retarded jokes to make you laugh. In my opinion he delivered. I personally like Bay flicks. His movies give me a chance to turn my brain off and not really think to enjoy something. I know there are a lot of Bay haters out there. Your choice. No big deal. But don't go out of your way to see a movie done by a director you hate just so you can rip him a new asshole when you know damn well you weren't going to like his movie in the first place.

(as sort of a sub note to the previous paragraph, the whole "racist" deal, they're talking about with Skids and Mudflap acting like younger urban type black males with their slang, one having a gold tooth and them commenting on their inability to read well. They're younger robots, which means they learned all the younger way of talking, in this instance more black slang type of speech. The whole reading thing...bullshit. They say in the movie they can't read old school type Cybertronian text, which makes sense since that's from way before they were brought on line. Hence the not being able to read comment. Fucking people looked WAY too into that crap)

OK, so about the movie itself. It was WAY funnier than the first. Lots of jokes, both stupid and plain funny. Little too much swearing for my taste, but oh well. TONS more action. More robots fighting and kicking ass. Still a bit messy with the camera during the fighting scenes, but it's gotten a little better. At least I could make out most of what was going on. Also focused more on the robots this time and less with all the humans, though they were a factor and played their part in the plot. And of course they left it WIDE open for the 3rd movie.

So there you have it. I thought the movie rocked. I look past the few flaws I did see and look forward to the next one with just as much anticipation as I had for the first 2. Hope this was a good enough review for you Mr. Momo.

And yes, I WILL be seeing it again for a second time. IMAX this go around hopefully.
