Mother's day was spent rather...motherless, since both Sonny and Mom are down in the Goat Dimension until Friday. I gave them a call and a message of love however, and thought about them and grandma while I was out enjoying the wonderful day.
I really couldn't decide what I wanted to do yesterday, so we spent most of the day aimlessly wandering until we saw something interesting. I stopped by the Half-Priced Book store but didn't find anything interesting, so we went to eat lunch at Windchimes and Chris took me to Borders afterwards. Moseyed around there for a bit; I ended up picking up Saiyuki volume 8, Trigun Maximum vol 10 *pauses to rail at that one quietly* and Sherlock Holmes, The Complete Novels and Stories vol. 1 (cheap! only $6.95! I wish I would've got the other volume too.)
From there we wanted ice cream, but the line at Coldstone's extended out the doors so we skipped it and headed to Magic Mountain for a nice long game of put-put (which I lost, but I maintain it was because I had forgotten I was left-handed until halfway through the game) They were closing up by the time we finished, which was a shame, because I wanted to play some more. We decided to check out Priscilla's for some... alternative Mother's Day presents (and because Chris won the golfing bet) but we didn't really find anything. We ended the night by going two rounds at the bowling alley, and then decided to call it quits because both our wrists were hurting. I had a lot of fun; it was nice for us to just run around together without there being anything we really had to do.
Today has been so far spent working on my One Piece fic for Dethorats and cursing the creator of Trigun Maximum. Now I think I'll take a break for lunch and then maybe make a list of books I might want for the future. And then more writing. Maybe I'll let myself read my new Saiyuki as a reward for finishing the chapter I'm working on. Because tomorrow I'll probably have to buckle down and get the things done I've been avoiding all week ~_~;
Onward, lunch!
