Neat!
On the way to the doctors office today, I saw a Golden Eagle! It was just standing there in a patch of grass along the side of the road. Not a hawk, not a vulture, but a real, honest to goodness big-ass eagle! In town! It was huge! I wish I could've taken a picture.
I've lived in the country for a lot of years, and only have seen eagles a handful of times in the wild. Lots of hawks though. And vultures. ~_~;
Went to a neurologist for my headaches, gonna be put on two types of migraine medicine, be getting an mri, and seeing a specialist for my TMJ. At least they're doing something. I had to wait in the waiting room FOREVER while 5 people that came in after me got to go in first. *fumes*
In other news, the doctor asked what I did (as in work) and I finally said "I'm a writer." That phrase is so hard to say, since until you sell your first work, you don't make a dime. For some reason I expect scoffing or ridicule when I say it. But none today. After we talked about medication, she asked me what I wrote, to which I replied "fiction." She smiled and said that it must be neat. (or some such.) I said it was but it was also harrowing, especially when trying to find time to write, and she agreed that having a 2yr old around must take up a lot of my time. ^____^ But I came out and said I'm a Writer. that's a Win, for confidence.
Hopefully Chris won't be running late tonight, and I'll be able to make it to my writer's group/mario party-a-thon. I'm not sure how we'll manage both, but either way it sounds fun! ^___^
