Homeless!
Amazingly, I am online. Even more amazingly (hold on to your hats, I suspect the world is about to end) I found the 'update livejournal' button. In a cunning twist, I linked the two, and here is the end result.
I figured since I haven't talked to most of you in a very long time, I'd post here and save myself the trouble of explaining it to all of my friends. Maximum coverage in the minimum time, I guess.
So after being in Dublin for ages, I moved back to Killarney. I'm still looking for work, it's all taking longer than I expected. I'd have had work by now, but companies here don't seem to believe in replying to job applications within the same month as the actual application. It's all very disheartening. I've put out what feels like a million applications, handed out about the same amount of CV's (that's "resume" for you folks west of the pond who didn't know that yet), and only have a handful of interviews to show for it. Granted, they went well, but now I'm still waiting for them to get back to me (and pestering them as much as I dare).
I had a place to stay, but after an incident involving some misunderstandings I am now out of there. It shouldn't take too long to get another place, but it's rather bad timing. I had already decided to move, since I didn't like the place, or the people in it, or the people I was renting from, but I'd rather have done it after being a little more settled with work and whatnot. Right now I'm feeling very tired from lack of sleep (2 hours last night), stress and general discouragement.
Still, I guess I'll keep soldiering on. I miss all of you guys a lot, and I can't wait till I can get back online more permanently. Make sure you all take care of yourselves, please, and I look forward to seeing you all again soon.
