it's like all other years of high school only this time the mystique of anything seems to be totally untouchable. It's all very dull. I'm familiar with every face in my grade and there are no illusive elders to perk any sort of interest. the new stuff is just a bucketload of forgettable 9th graders who opt to act entirely invincable or who apologize more than I do. It's endurable and has got some stimulating material, though, so I should probably stay. Gifford and Lynn are fascinating and intimidating... Haven't actually had lynn yet but I had to sit in front of them on a 4 hour bus ride and you were right when you said that they talk what they teach. Anyway, we're one paragraph into kant and I think he's an unsound asshole. need to get clear on my arguments, though, or 12th grade will rip me a new one.
reflexively, I keep on seeing you and a lot of the graduates in the faces of strangers for split seconds before I remember that you're off having lives. That tree is like a tombstone without you folks there. change is surreal for a while.

how's oregon?! Tell me anything, I'm terribly curious about this college life stuff. great for stories.
