Dear Past Imperfect, Future Unknown creator,
Hi, I'm AstroGirl! I really love the whole concept of this exchange, and I'm very much looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Thank you so much in advance!
DNW: A/B/O. Underage sex. (For these purposes, let's say that means "on-screen" sex for anyone under 18 or mentions of sex involving anyone under 16.) Noncon. (Dubcon, even very iffy dubcon, is fine.) Anything gory or uncomfortable involving eyeballs. Setting-change AUs (eg. coffeeshop, high school, everyone's-a-werewolf, etc) or AUs that have the universe working differently than it does in canon with no explanation for it (e.g. everyone has their soulmate's name written on their arm). Canon-divergence AUs are fine, though, as are time travel-related parallel universes and altered/alternate timelines.
General Likes: I'm good with any sort of tone, from full-on angst to heartwarming fluff to goofy humor. I am OK with dark themes, character death, and unhappy endings. I am OK with any rating, but I prefer sex scenes to feel firmly based in the characters, rather than just being mostly about the kinky porn. As a reader, I am mostly very focused on characters, and I can be 100% satisfied with some interesting character interaction or good dialog or introspection, so if you want to use the time travel tropes purely as a vehicle for some character stuff and not worry too much about plot, I am absolutely here for that. On the other hand, if you're gonna have a plot, a time travel plot is one of my favorite kinds to have. So if you want to write complex plotty time travel shenanigans, I am absolutely here for that, too.
Time travel that is bizarre and messy and confusing and impossible to understand works for me, but, on the other hand, time travel that is completely logically consistent gives me a special kind of joy. I'm less fond of the kind in between, the kind that almost seems to make sense until you stop to think about it too hard. Although, honestly, given some of the canons I've chosen, I can't exactly object to that too hard, either!
I love good dialog and banter. I love complex characters and messy situations and relationships. I love non-human characters that feel genuinely non-human in the way they perceive, think about, and react to things. I like big, complicated emotions being expressed in subtle or quiet ways. And I like little worldbuilding touches that make fictional universes feel like real, complicated places.
A note about art: I like realistic art where the characters look very much like themselves, but also cute cartoony stuff. I like storytelling in comic/graphic formats, too. NSFW art is OK, but I prefer stuff that feels like it has some actual character basis to it, rather than just "Hey, look, genitals!"
I'll add that I really do love fanart -- I've gotten it a couple of times now in exchanges and have been utterly delighted each time -- but I feel like I ought to apologize, because my brain is very much a writer's brain, not a visual one, and I find it much harder to come up with specific likes and dislikes and prompts for art. if you are an artist, please do not take that as discouragement! I would really love to see what you can do. I know that a lot of the tropes I've requested aren't anywhere near as easy to use for art as for fic (although the ones about characters meeting themselves are an obvious and fun exception). I'd suppose if you've offered the tropes I've requested, hopefully you have some ideas of how to make use of them. But I'll just add that as far as I'm concerned, you are absolutely free to get as creative or abstract with them as you like.
My requests:
Note that any suggestions I have below are just that: suggestions. Don't feel you're bound by any ideas I mention here. If you've got a completely different idea that fits any of the requested tropes, I'd love to see it!
Requests for Classic and New Who are separate, obviously, but I'm lumping my comments about them in together, as I find that what I have to say about them is very similar.
DOCTOR WHO(1963):
Eighth Doctor, Fifth Doctor, First Doctor, Fourth Doctor, The Master (Ainley), The Master (Delgado), Second Doctor, Seventh Doctor, Sixth Doctor, Third Doctor
Canon Characters Meet Too Many Meddlers from the Future
Character meets a younger version of themselves
Character Gets Stranded With A Past or Future Version of Themselves

Time Loop - Enemies Have To Work Together To Solve The Loop
Using time travel to commit crime
Using time travel to mess with people's minds
DOCTOR WHO (2005):
Bill Potts, The Doctor's TARDIS, Eleventh Doctor, Twelfth Doctor/Missy, The Master (Dhawan), The Master (Simm), Missy, River Song, Thirteenth Doctor, Twelfth Doctor
7 Chances to Fix the Time Loop Before You're Stuck Repeating the Same Day Forever
Character meets a younger version of themselves
Character Gets Stranded With A Past or Future Version of Themselves
Existence outside of linear time
Outsider POV Of Time Traveler(s)
Multiple time travelers get in each other's way while trying to achieve different goals
Time Loop
Time Loop - Enemies Have To Work Together To Solve The Loop
Time Travel For Trolling and Petty Revenge
Time traveling characters encounter each other out of order
Using time travel to commit crime
I've requested lots of possible characters here, including almost every possible version of the Doctor and the Master, and I'd be happy with any of them individually, or in any combination you like. Feel free to include any other characters you like, too -- companions, villains, whatever -- from either Classic or New Who. Just please, no Big Finish-only characters, as my knowledge of them is spotty. I also like a bit of Doctor/Master shipping, if that's something you're into, but much prefer it if it remains a complicated love/hate sort of relationship, rather than purely happy fluff. Doctor/River is also very much welcome. So is Doctor/TARDIS, for that matter.
Some ideas that might be fun with these prompts: Multi-Doctor or multi-Master stories or art of any kind. A different incarnation of the Doctor or the Master accidentally (or deliberately?) interfering with their own past/future plans. Ridiculously complicated timey-wimey situations, perhaps caused by lots of temporal meddling. Outsider POV, perhaps from very confused outsiders. TARDIS POV. The Doctor and Master having to work together. The Master and/or River doing time crime or messing with the Doctor using time travel in some way. Time loops that maybe require clever problem solving to fix, or ones that just exist to do interesting things with the characters or to be interestingly weird or creepy. Bill having fun time travel adventures with the Doctor, or maybe meeting herself (perhaps as a child)? Scenes from the Doctor and River's weird, out-of-order relationship.
GOOD OMENS:
Aziraphale, Crowley, Aziraphale/Crowley, Agnes Nutter
Backwards Time Traveler Realizes They've Become a True Seer
Character meets a younger version of themselves
Character discovers they have an unexpected romantic partner in their future
Character meets a younger version of their love interest
Communicating Across Time
Spell goes wrong and results in time travel
Time Loop
Time Loop Where Character Makes Things Worse Before Making Them Better
Time Travelling to Stop the Apocalypse
Time traveler stranded in past has to take the long way back to their correct time
If you're writing/drawing Aziraphale/Crowley, I'm happy with any interpretation of their relationship, from completely asexual to shagging like supernatural bunnies.
Among lots of other fun possibilities, I love the idea of either Azirpahale or Crowley meeting their younger selves or younger versions of each other, or a past version of one of them visiting/finding out about a future where they've stopped the apocalypse and are together. I think that, one way or another, their reactions would have to be interesting! Or what about a universe in which the Apocalypse (or maybe a different apocalypse?) does happen and they have to use time travel to stop it. I am also weirdly taken with the idea of Agnes Nutter as a time traveler. Were her prophecies accurate because she was actually a time traveler of some kind?
THE ORVILLE:
Claire Finn/Isaac
Character Wakes Up as Future Self with Unexpected Significant Other
Mental Time Travel to Past - Replacing Past Self
Parallel Universes
Time Loop
Time Loop Where Character Makes Things Worse Before Making Them Better
Time Travel Fix-It - Altering Non-Canonical Disaster
Time Travel Fix-It - fixing one's own mistakes
Time Traveller is Trying to Fix Something They Previously Broke
Trapped in a Doomed Timeline
Visit To The Past And Return To Present Results In Being Accidental Married to Love Interest
The request is for Claire/Isaac, but I'll be happy with anything that addresses their relationship, whether they ultimately end up together or not. I'm more than a little fascinated by how complicated and messy and uncertain things are with them after "Identity," so fic that involves them sorting that out one way or another is very much welcome. As is inclusion of any of the other canon characters. Especially the Finn kids; I love seeing Isaac's relationship with them.
Some possible ideas: An alternate-future version of Isaac makes the wrong decision in "Identity" and goes back to fix it. They've broken up, but one (or maybe both?) of them ends up in a future/alternate timeline/whatever where they're back together or married. I also think canon has really only scratched the surface of all the weird, wonderful, funny or angsty time travel possibilities. No doubt these characters could get into all kinds of crazy situations involving time loops or parallel universes or messing around with causality.
UNDERTALE:
Sans/Toriel, Flowey, Sans, Toriel
Aftermath of Time Travel
Character Can Rewind Time At Will
Being the only one who remembers alternate timeline(s)
Character can't tell what the real timeline is anymore
Deja vu caused by time travel
different type of time travel than in canon
Existence outside of linear time
Time Travel For Pranks And Petty Mischief
Trapped in a Doomed Timeline
Using time travel to mess with people's minds
I really love Sans/Toriel, but mention of past Toriel/Asgore is fine. So is Alphys/Undine is if you want to throw that in there somewhere, but I'd prefer avoiding other ships. All characters are very much welcome, however. Feel free to work with any or all of the possible endings. Also, while angsty Sans is 100% fine by me, I do prefer it if he's not entirely a giant bundle of weeping depression.
Some ideas: An exploration of Flowey's relationship to time and how he used his time-rewinding powers. Sans' experience of the resets, what he does or doesn't understand about them, and how it affects his relationships. Sans using time shenanigans to play stupid jokes. Toriel being able to feel that something is weird with time, but not quite understanding what. Sans and Toriel finding a happy (or perhaps just bittersweet) ending together when the resets come to an end and they only have one future in front of them, or starting to find something together and having it yanked away in a reset. Introducing time travel that's completely different to how the resets/saves work in the game could also be really interesting.
