I am currently in Florida visiting my dad and his wife. This means that, as expected, I did not get to watch Once Upon a Time tonight, and will have to wait until I get back home to see it. Actually, they probably would have let me watch it without much of an argument, but they were very much in "let's all sit around the TV now!" mode, and if they were going to watch it with me, I would have had to explain it, and that would probably have taken three times longer than it would have to watch the episode. Fortunately, I came prepared for Family TV night, and showed up with last year's season of Doctor Who in my suitcase, since they enjoy New Who but are quite a ways behind on it. I gotta tell ya, "The Impossible Astronaut" is even freakier when you're sitting within spitting distance of Cape Canaveral while you're watching it. (We're going to the Kennedy Space Center tomorrow, by the way. And then again on Wednesday. Apparently my dad knows a guy who works there and can give us a private tour, which... squee!)
I did have a bad moment when they ejected one of the Who discs and the TV defaulted back to the last channel they'd been watching and started showing us the middle of OUaT. I'm not sure they quite understood why I was squealing, "Nooo, I can't watch this yet! I don't want to know what happens! Turn it off!" From the glimpses I saw, though, spoiler was with spoiler and then later spoiler was talking to spoiler about spoilery thing, all of which has me rather excited.

doctor who,
