So, I just finished watching Torchwood: Miracle Day. Obviously, it took me a while to get around to it. Based on all the responses I'd seen, I was in absolutely no hurry, but I couldn't help feeling that I ought to watch it, just for completeness' sake. Yep. I think they were trying to do something in the style of "Flashforward" and similar US shows and failing miserably. And to add insult to injury, they killed off my favourite character. (Just as they had previously done in Series 2.)

Flashforward, IMO, didn't succeed very well at it, either.

The really sad thing is, I do think they had some cool ideas. The premise had interesting potential. But so much of what it was trying to do just didn't quite work. Repeatedly.

And they didn't make me care enough about any of the characters to care whether they got killed off or not. Well, Gwen excepted, maybe. I think I actually came out of it liking her a bit more than I did going in, which is something.
