What Astro's Watching, Part Gazillion
I'm back to watching The Big Bang Theory, now on season 3. And I'm enjoying it immensely, despite the objections I initially had to it, which are actually still very much in force. It's sometimes kind of an odd experience, though, because it leads to moments like this one:
Leonard is watching a football game with Penny and her friends, making a desperate and rather pathetic attempt to fit in. Sheldon walks in to borrow some bread, looks at him, and says, "How goes the mimesis?" I laugh loudly, then trail off awkwardly, as the studio audience is completely silent, and Leonard is giving him a blank puzzled look. "What?" I say. "That was funny! Mimesis! [pause] Oh, God. I speak Sheldon."
Although I'm not entirely sure whether that's a good thing or a bad thing.
