OK, now that I've gotten my remix story done, it's back to this... And then I guess I need to figure out what the heck I'm doing with that
matrithon prompt I signed up for.
Anyway, this one is for
entropy_house, who asked for "a Blake's 7 fic involving one or more of the canon robots." I'm afraid it got a bit silly.
As always, the first eligible person to comment on this post can request a ficlet prompt. Feedback on this ficlet is not necessary to request a new one. The only rule is no repeat customers, though, of course, it's a good idea to request something in a fandom I'm familiar with. If you're not sure about a particular fandom, go ahead and ask anyway. The worst that will happen is that I'll ask you if you want to change your prompt. Or else you'll get OOC crack. I make no guarantees about how long it takes me to get to these. Could be hours, could be months.
For reference, the people who have requested fic so far, and are thus currently ineligible, are:
jaxomsride,
sallymn,
redstarrobot,
kernezelda,
kerravonsen,
eve11,
ultrapsychobrat,
vilakins,
izhilzha,
ladymercury_10,

wychwood and
entropy_house.

Laughingstock
The security robot knows what they think of it. It hears the comments the troopers make, whether or not they think it's listening. It knows what they're laughing at, knows they find its slow, trundling movements and floppy, under-engineered manipulator arms pathetic. It may have been constructed by the lowest bidder, but there's nothing wrong with its intelligence, and it's been programmed to care what users think of it. Its creators call that "job satisfaction assessment capability," but the meaning is that it has feelings to be hurt.
So next time... Next time, it's going to let the rebels through.
