And while we're gettin' all deep into the Lost meta, I'd like to mention that I really liked this thoughtful article on the subject from The A.V. Club. It's a generally very positive response, but not one that's unthinkingly uncritical of the show, and, while the writer may be a smidge more enthusiastic about some things than I am, I agree with a lot of what he has to say.
