The Invisible, Seen
So, I did finally get to see the first episode of The Invisible Man! Netflix actually got the disc to me surprisingly fast, on the third attempt. They've got this policy now where if a disc is delayed getting to you because they have to mail it from a more distant facility, they'll send you an extra disc to keep you happy in the meantime. Apparently, it also applies to damaged discs. Yay, Netflix!
Anyway, so, yeah, I watched the pilot. Now, I remember seeing a lot of commercials for this show back when it was on the air, and none of them made me feel at all interested in watching it. I got the strong impression that it was pretty much a run-of-the-mill They Fight Crime action-adventure thing, with a mildly cheesy premise. Which, OK, it probably is, but the one thing I didn't realize at the time was how funny it is, in this wonderfully deadpan sort of way. I literally LOLed several times. Also, nobody told me it featured extremely subtle Doctor Who in-jokes, which I think pretty much compels me to like it, whether I want to or not.
So, yeah, anyway, the verdict is pretty favorable so far.
