OK, there are no doubt lots and lots of things I could say about tonight's Lost, but there's only one thing I really want to say: ( a slightly spoilery outburst )
I just watched it, and I think we're going to see them all killed off one by one (or two) until Jack's the one left. I'm glad we have the AU people or I'd be really pissed off at this series for making me care about doomed characters.
Even so (and I think so too) it's going to be bloody hard watching the ones I've come to care about being killed off. The AU people aren't quite them; they have different pasts and haven't been changed by their experiences on the island.
However AU Locke talking about pushing the button is hopeful since Island Locke is dead. If their memories merge somehow, then something of the the, all will survive.
I don't think so. I thought he was one of the people shooting, but I think he stayed back at the camp and just sent minions. The only time we really saw him was by the Dharma Zoo when he stopped the standoff and threatened to shoot Kate, right?
Poor Lapidus, indeed. When he got hit with that door, I immediately cried, "No! Don't kill Lapidus, damn it!" And then I, uh, sort of forgot about him for the rest of the episode. What with all the other killing. *sniffle*
And, yeah, I'm pretty sure Widmore was not anywhere near the sub.
Someone posted a link to an Entertainment Weekly interview with the producers. Although they veer from saying anything too spoilery, you may not want to read.
I did find a couple parts darkly amusing (although the latter is also a bit TMI ew). Apparently they had interviewed Terry O'Quinn who described Smokey as follows: "Puffy is one nasty mo-fo."
Puffy! hee!
Also, Daniel Dae Kim on filming the sub scenes: “It was pretty difficult that day,” says Kim. “Shooting in water is never easy. But the crew was considerate and made the water warm for us, in more ways than one. Let’s just say certain members of the crew who were in that water for a very, very, very long time without ever leaving. I’ll just leave it at that.”
Oh Sawyer...
Otherwise, just...I...
BAD SMOKEY!

Sigh. All I can say is, come on, alt!verse people! With the primary universe people are dropping like flies, it's all on you now. :)
Stupid Smokey.

At this point, that seems to me to be very likely.

He got hit with a door and seemed to be unconscious - I don't see how he should have managed to get out, unfortunately. Ditto for the captain.
Is Widmore dead? I didn't really catch that.

Poor Lapidus.
I am *so* going to read the Washington Post chat about this episode.

Now that’s evil.

Hmm, possibly not. This close to the end, I think I'd kick myself if I managed to even slightly spoil myself. Although it may be hard to resist... :)

Heee! Puffy, indeed. And he is so right. :)
Now that’s evil.
LOL!
