Pretty sure this lil' drabble won't make any sense out of context. How much sense it makes in context might, I suppose, be debatable.
But with this, I now have only the Wild Card square left on my bingo, and I have a thing I wrote for Tropefest that I can use for that, unless I decide to write something else for it between now and the time that collection gets revealed. So, one way or another, I will finally finish with this card. Hooray!
Title: Paper and Wind and Streets and Skin
Fandom: Disco Elysium
Characters/Pairings: Harry Du Bois, Kim Kitsuragi, Revachol
Summary: A map, and a window.
Rating/Warnings: G, none
Length: 100 words
Author's Note: Written for Gen Prompt Bingo, for the prompt "maps." I decided to go with an actual 100-word drabble this time.
Paper and Wind and Streets and Skin
Kim opens the map of Revachol and lets his fingers skim across it, thinking, as he always does, with paper.
Only someone who knows him well might catch the look on his face as his hands caress the orderly asphalt of the GRIH, the chaotic sprawl of Jamrock. His old home, his new one.
You haven't known Kim long, but you know him well. You know the city, too. Better than you know yourself.
A breeze slips in through a poorly-insulated window and makes you shiver.
"It's okay," you tell him, hoping he'll understand. "She says she loves you, too."
