All right, I'll likely be going right back to Good Omens after this, but I would like to thank Umbrella Academy and its best and weirdest paring for providing me with a drabble for the one bingo square I was completely stuck on until now.

I Think We're Alone Now
She's distant at first, stiff and cold. But that's all right. He's used to dealing with stiff, cold people. And he knows she's not really like that. She's had a rough time, is all. Anyone would, finding themselves suddenly surrounded by death and destruction like this. All she needs is a little time. A little companionship. Someone to share it all with, when she's ready. He just needs to learn patience.
It still surprises him, though, when she finally starts to talk to him.
It surprises him even more to realize just how desperate he is to hear her voice.
