The last 2 weeks were pretty hard (well, the week before that was hard too, what with the intense Aikido training in AA, but that was different) what with C gone. He was back in the intervening weekend but it really wasn't enough. We started out week 2 of him gone (and week 3 with AM only having one parent in the house) with an extremely crabby "where is my daddy?!?!?!" bebe. It only got worse from there. Daycare days were survivable but by the end of the week she was literally going over to his office every time she woke up (in the morning, or from a nap) looking for him. Poor kid. The day after he got home she spent the whole time clinging to the both of us (preferably, in her mind, at the same time).
So really didn't get much of anything done, aside from copious dishes and the laundry. But, oh well. I really should make an effort to invite people over on specific nights/times when C is gone; open invitations don't seem to work. And it gets extra lonely those weeks, as I don't' get to see Aikido folks, and I don't get to see C, and all I have is bebe interaction. Not that bebe interaction is bad per se (except last week was hard), just she doesn't really talk in sentences or anything. ;)
Got to go talk to the neighbor today a bit, as AM felt like wandering around in her yard. It's nice that we have neighbors that this is ok with. :) I brought over some spiced apple pecan cake later this evening, because darned if I'm going to eat the whole thing. It sure is tasty though.
I need to give up caffeinated coffee. This saddens me greatly, but it is definitely spiking my blood pressure any time I drink it, even if it's just a cup. :( Tea and soda still seem to be all right. Oh, how times change. :( I'm going to have to go -buy- some caffeine free coffee; I know I don't have any. And I still *like* coffee...
Sticking around for Turkey day weekend but no plans as yet. Should check to see if Friendsgiving is going on this year. Mah li'l sister is graduating at the end of December, go her! Don't think I'll be able to get down there, though, as much as I'd like to - it's the weekend before Christmas. I'm sure my folks will be thrilled to not have any more college payments to make, lol.
In-laws here this weekend. Otherwise not much else going on.
