(no subject)
loong weekend. missed out on a birthday celebration with a friend due to a miserable cold/sinus/ear/infection that had me in serious pain and discomfort for most of the weekend. add to that a husband with pinkeye and a toddler with a stomach flu and you've almost got an episode of ER. in fact, that is where i spent my sunday, in pursuit of pain meds and antibiotics. not fun. fortunately, noah's vomiting was as short-lived as it was inexplicable and he was doing much better but sunday eve. to be added to the big book of the things you've never thought of doing as a parent: teaching the concept of puke bucket.
"now, noah honey, it's kind of like the potty. when you feel the puke coming... puke in the bucket! the BUCKET!! ahhhhhhh! not the floor/couch/wall/bed/my pants!"
"no, no, no, no, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" puke, puke, puke. "wahhhhhhhh"
"it's ok, baby, it'll be ok."
long night. long weekend.
on the upside ... we are feeling better today. and i paid a bunch of bills yesterday.
we might make it through the month ok after all.
