Explorations in Montevideo

Yesterday was the first day of a gargantuan restructuring of Montevidean bus lines, and I was therefore doomed, by the serendipitous cloud of misfortune which shrewishly follows me around, to go downtown. Bruno! I'm glad you're having all sorts of historical adventures. All Hakodate has is some weird star-shaped fort, Japan's first "Concreet (sic) Telephone Pole" and, yes, Ropeway Station.

So is it the actual First Concreet Telephone pole, or some cleverly disguised ruse? And maybe Concreet is some sort of fiberoptic material so advanced you haven't even heard of it, and here you are ridiculing it!

Exxxxactly. There are floors of buildings that are dizzying seas of pink plastic cute obnoxiousness. Guhhhh. I want to use a fork.
