I feel like that I have just got in the groove of summer.
But the solstice has already pasted and there is a slight sigh of coolness in the morning.
I am no where ready to embrace tiny raindrops and shortened daylight.
Late nights drinking Budweiser in Decatur,
Home grown tomatoe sandwiches and fried squash.
Two of the craziest blue heelers and sad sights set on hiking the AT.
I think I am learning how to function on around three hours of sleep a night.
But I am in love with the summer time warm tired feeling.
The Highwaymen and the Hackensaw boys.
I can not wait to go camping.
And grits, grits and fresh blackberries.
Letting Conway Twitty play and dancing drunk.
Beat up Nova’s finally riding smooth.
“Keep your hand of that plow, hold on.”
If you don’t get this you never will.
I am sorry but peace comes to me in sighs of moments like this.
