I feel totally left out of these -- I don't really watch TV (except for Game of Thrones and a couple of re-runs I have on DVD, like, the Unusuals or Star Trek) and have no idea who any of these people are ... :-(
Emmm ... nope. Not a single episode. Or Chuck. Or Arrow. Or ...
The only shows I have watched sufficiently to care enough to tune in when they were on and perhaps remember some characters' names, are CSI (all three at various times, but stopped about 3 years ago); Law and Order (only the original and some SVU, ditto on the abandonment); Star Trek TNG and ER (waaaaayyyyyy back when, stopped caring when George Clooney left). Call me a cultural hermit ...
On DVD I watched (and own) ST: Voyager, Firefly and The Unusuals, the latter I acquired purely for Jeremy Renner. Voyager, of which I watched all 7 seasons twice in a row, with my daughter draped all over me, intrigued me enough to start writing fanfiction (once I stumbled across the concept) -- which in turn explains why I stopped watching TV altogether, because now I spend my evenings writing instead.
I expect to give the new SHIELD series a try though! :-)
I'll contain myself and not try to push Buffy on you. ;) (But it's really fantastic.)
I will most certainly check out the new SHIELD show, too. I hope it lives up to the expectations.
Right now the only shows I'm watching are Continuum and the Americans, which is on hiatus. And me and the roommate got hooked on Project Runway, after I read one Avengers crossover...
I bought season 9 of SVU simply because Adam Beach is in it, but I'm not really that enamoured by the show. I'm halfway through the season and am getting the nagging feeling that overall they're paying a lot more attention to the feelings of the perpetrators that those of the victims and it's starting to bug me. Also, not enough Adam Beach.
Damn, why can't Adam be on SHIELD or Continuum instead of Arctic Air. That would be perfect!
I shouldn't be checking my gmail, let alone replying. But yesterday was the DFFH, so I feel a bit undermotivated today ... Besides, I'm entitled to a coffee break!
I forgot to mention that I actually adore the Unusuals, even though I watched it only for Jeremy Renner initially. We ended up watching it for Family Movie Night with our friends, 2 episodes per Friday, but my daughter and I cheated and watched "ahead". By now we've seen each ep about 4 times. So, so funny. I might write a fic for it one day; I've read a few. It's a small fandom, but has some good writers in it.
Maybe they should rename SVU "SPU" (special perpetrators unit"?) I stopped watching because it started to feel vaguely vouyeuristic.
Do you have a link for the Avengers/Runway fic? I've never watched Runway but know what it's about, and a crossover has the potential of being Serious Fun.
Ohhh, I would be ecstatic if you were to write in Unusuals. I love that show somewhat fierce, not just because of JRenner, and the fic is really pretty good for such a tiny fandom but it's just not that much. Last Yuletide was great, though.
