Congrats to everyone who finished NaNo successfully!
My plan was to use November to write an entire comic script. Well, at least I did get the teaser and the first act done? It's on two pages of handwritten notes that I hope to be able to decypher again.

I seem only to be able to work on the story when I'm running. It must be a concentration thing... when I'm at home I'll get distracted the second I sit down. I have to figure out a better way, I want to be able to write down my thoughts immediately. Maybe I can come up with a ritual. There was a phase when I could only work on my illustration project when I was burning incense. And not just any incense, it had to be a particular scent. It worked out well, because when I visited my parents over Christmas I took the incense with me and was able for the first time to get any work done because I could create the right work environment.

Maybe I'll try the incense thing for the comic.linkage: Dogs Don't Understand Basic Concepts Like Moving
The text alone would be funny enough but the illustrations are a scream.
Chuck was the #1 pirated TV show on the Pirate Bay this week. Yay? I can't help it, this makes me weirdly proud.

No new Chuck for seven weeks. Why did I rush through the eps like that. "Waste not, want not" they say. I wasted, and now I want. At least that show has a decent body of fic to it, there even seems to be a significant amount of plotfic which I find generally less common for shows that aren't genre. I suppose the crack factor in Chuck is high enough to make it easier to write for than for standard procedurals or cop shows, and hidden behind the lighthearted crack there's still plenty of character depth and darker themes to explore.

I just haven't had any inspiration for fanart. Probably a good thing, I should get some work done.
My climbing partner for tonight cancelled because of the cold and I can't even blame her. I was only semi-enthused at the thought of getting on my bike again. I just now went to the store and tried to buy a balaclava, alas they don't sell them. I don't care how unfashionable it is, I want one.
