Okay, I may be biased because this story was inspired by one of my illustrations, but I'm really not just reccing it here because of that! This fic takes an illustrated scene and weaves it into a story that honestly explores Teyla and Rodney and the relationship those two have. I love the insight into the characters, I love the many details that bring this story to life. And I love the hurt/comfort which is really well written.
Heeeeee, just finished a book. \o/ It seems like an eternity since the last one. I've been working on a bunch of different projects over the past few months, but could never really complete something. This thing has been driving me nuts and it took about four times as long as it should have...not my doing, but by now I can't even bring myself to get properly worked up over it. Anyway, it's off my desk.
Another project I'm supposed to work on isn't on my desk yet, so I can finally get cracking on my new Sticksandsnark piece. I already have some ideas. One of them was making a vid but I moved away from that quickly. My first vid ever, with just one month to go, that can't end well.
Over the past two weeks I mainlined 45 eps of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. I like the characters, the ensemble is huge. And the plot is epic. During the last 10 eps or so my favorite characters were barely onscreen, but in spite of that regrettable fact the plot was so interesting that it made up for it.
The downside is that now I ran out. I really should've saved at least one to watch after work tonight. Question: I gathered that ep.45 takes place around vol. 19/20 of the Manga? I ordered vol. 20-22 in English because I want to see where the story is going. After that I'm thinking about reading 23-24 in Japanese, provided I can get my hands on them without paying 200% postage. And then I'll have to figure out how to get my hands on the remaining chapters through 104 and up (koffhint?).
