LJ hiatus
Attention everybody:
Tomorrow I'm beginning the first draft of a book I've been trying to write for a couple of years actually but didn't because of yadayadablahblah reasons. Now I'm going to get super organized and have myself write 2-3k words a day everyday for 61 days, followed by about two/three months more of editing and bsing query letters before it's ready to be sent out.
By that time, I'll be gearing up to apply for the MFA again and will be starting the process of writing the fictional piece in late June and will schedule myself to have it all nice and ready to go by September at the latest. At that point I will once again begin the anxiety-inducing process of contacting teachers for letters of rec and figuring out paperwork. Last year was kind of a catastrophe in terms of the MFA applications and I'd rather not repeat that.
On top of that and other personal predicaments I'd rather not go into on Facebook, I will not be doing karate this year (I will be practicing at home, tho) nor will I be on LJ or Facebook except to update once in a blue moon so you all know I'm not dead. Long story short, I'm trying to put my professional life on track so I can finally convince myself that I'm a productive adult when I haven't been all that productive these last couple of years.
Thanks for being patient with me and for being my friends. I honestly never imagined I'd have so many. I'm bad at keeping up with people and I'm rather self-centered, but even if I haven't talked to you in a while, I still appreciate you and have trouble voicing that appreciation.
So, yeah.
