Quit thinking about what you want and ENJOY IT!

It was really good to stay home for the weekend. (The first weekend we've been able to stay home since I've moved out here.) I'm liking Colorado more than I thought I would...not that I really actually thought about it that much before I moved out here. A lot of times you do what you do in life and that's that. I do feel that it was a good thing to get out of Winona and expand to a larger school/area and such. I miss friends and family back home sometimes. But, like anywhere one may roam, it takes time to build a new network and such. ...not saying that replacements are in order. *LOL* Don't read into that. I just know how people take different paths and roads in life and I'm looking forward to meeting people that are on walking the same trail out here.

This weekend. I forget what I did Friday. Kyle worked, I stayed home. *L* Oh yeah, Rachel attempted to kick my butt at Bally's...but the workout was as bad as the one Randi gave Kyle the other week. I only ached for 1-2 days. I'll be ready to hit it back at the gym tonight.

Sat. was the BBQ and Pool Party. Kyle had a lunch meeting with his boss that went overtime, so I went over there by myself and met lots of people. *L* My mom once told me that I have 2 different social sides: 1. I can walk into a place and know everyone in about 5 minutes. ...or 2. I can come off as a snob, not knowing what to say. Anyway, it was fun. One of the girls I met is going to law school up in Boulder. She and her bf moved out here from Michigan a year ago. She's not taking classes this summer 'cuz out-of-state tuition is so darn expensive. Hmmmm....I know exactly what she's talking about on that front. They have a foxhoud (Kyle and I are still trying to figure out what, exactly, IS a foxhound) that is about the same age as Charlie. Conan (the foxhound) likes to just sniff around at everything when they take him to the dog park, so we figure it would be great to bring Charlie and Conan there together 'cuz that's all Charlie ever does as well.

Sat. night we went to see Josh Kelly and Marc Broussard play at http://www.foxtheater.com . A smaller (I think local) band opened...all 3 bands were awesome and by the time Marc Broussard took the stage, the place was rocking. John and Jill (and company) missed a helluva good time. I did cry at one of the songs 'cuz it's one that Kyle was singing to me....that he had said reminded him of me when he was driving back to MN right after he had moved out here. (that long 14-hour drive through the night...I tried to stay awake that night and wait up for him, but ended up going to bed to be awoken and some early morning hour.) I am SO glad that we're not long distance anymore. I still can't imagine how our life together will be, but then again, I can't imagine my life without him either. I think sometimes we just have to quit trying to imagine and wish for better things and just enjoy what we have. Most times the best things in life are right there in front of you. You just have to quit being busy, quit thinking about them and just enjoy them.

On that note, I have a couple ideas for a wedding that Kyle and I have discussed. But....I'm gonna leave that at that for now. *smiles* (Answer to your next question: same as the last time you asked it.)

Yesterday we made MAJOR headway in the second bedroom/office. Last weekend we went through all the boxes in there and A LOT of things ended up on the bed, waiting for homes. I made a enormous trip over to the GoodWill with the trunk, back seat and front passenger seat filled last Friday, clearing out space for us to work with. The camping stuff got put away and the closet in that room nearly back together. We turned the bed around and moved the desk so that it's actually accessible. (Thanks for the idea, Mom. It worked great!) Then we found homes for my photo-archive drawers and the file cabinet. Of course, in this process all the stuff on the bed and desk had to be sorted through...then cleared to temporary boxes. "I can always tell when we start moving shit around in here 'cuz my eyes start watering up." "*LOL* No shit. At least this way things will be cleaned and there won't be anymore dust to kick up again." I am SOOOOOoooo....thankful for all of Kyle's help in all of this. I don't think I even needed to "lock us in until it's done". :D To reward ourselves, we went shopping at Office Max to get shelf organizers for the desk. They missed our business by about 10 minutes though, so we found Office Depot and got some stuff there. There are still a couple organizers I'm looking for, but it's no use buying something that's not perfect. Right? When we got home I had to just sit in the computer chair and revel in our accomplishments and strides made towards organization. Tonight I plan on setting up the printer in the office (as well as a few power cords) and putting away all of our pens, markers and highlighters. *L* I'll let Kyle do the list of things we never have to buy again....

Well, that's the most thorough update I've done in a long while. I need to go work on my Lab. Report while I have time, a computer and free printing.

Take care Everyone!

...and BEHAVE!
(Be nice to each other...or else I'm gonna be the grumpy-butt.)
