New Perseveratin

I have a new perseveration a sof late, and it is cardmaking and scrapbooking. I am blind, so one would say this is impossible, but I scrap in an altered way. I don't use photos, but use braille instead. My cards are made of mostly tactile materials, such as embellishments, 3D images, etc.

For once, I'm happy to have a hobby that is not related to my problems. Obviously, I joined a few mailing lists for card sharing and swapping. I hope my cards are good enough for that once I actually participate in a swap, which will be pretty soon. I know people cut me some slack because I'm blind and a total novice. And indeed, I underestimated the visual aspect of cardmaking.

I do notice how my obsessiveness can go beyond myself, in the sense that I am totally obsessed with cardmaking and scrapbooking now, to the point of dreaming about cards. I also notice that my mood is dependent almost entirely on whether I can craft or not, and on what others say about my cards. This is rather problematic in a sense.

crafts, blindness
