Waitin' for the Green Electric Train

Going to school is tiring! I'd forgotten. Still, it's really nice to be back to my routine; I'm such a slug when I don't have set things to do. My classes seem awesome so far: philosophy and feminism is going to be great, I can just feel it (okay, I'll probably eat my words a few weeks into it, but let me live with the dream, at least for now). I offered up an hour of time between classes to the writing gods and actually wasn't too horrified by what I wrote--whee! And it paid off, because I found out I was accepted into Roddy Doyle's writing class! He's very nice and funny, and his accent is wonderful. I'm so lucky to be here, able to study with people like him and Sheri Holman and all these wonderful novelists. I'm slightly giddy right now--my apologies.

But I'm back to couscous (though I bought some chicken for later in the week--go me!) and homework's no fun, but it must be done. I have to try to get out of a class tomorrow which is supposed to have the same reading list as my least favorite class from last semester--I'm so stupid to do something like that to myself. BUT-my email is receiving new stuff again, after I deleted a bunch of big ones, so I'll try to catch up on all the stuff I've missed.

Hugs to cdeacon and gussie725. I miss you both so much!
