I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be creeped out of turned on by the way he used the kiss to play her.

I don`t know what it is because while I think the guy is good-looking in a general sense, I`m not really that attracted to him but character-wise? I really love him lots so far.
And noone really seems to allow for even the slightest transition period in either expecting him to be a totally new man (which he is but not in the way they think or realize, even though some of it should be obvious, no matter how bi-polar he acts) or slipping right back into careless playboy mode. The only one who seems to get an inkling is Diggle, the bodyguard.
I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be creeped out of turned on by the way he used the kiss to play her. It`s definitely a very slippery slop he is on. And considering that he knows what the kiss would mean to someone like her, it`s way worse than the jailbreak aiding. It would be like Audrey randomely touching him to manipulate or play with him and he knows very well he`d be devastated if that happened ( ... )

I don`t really have a problem with him now, he cant pull off all the nuances I believe the character is supposed to have but the pained and somber part, he can do well and that is what draws me in anyways. :) But it`s definitely the writing that makes the character here.
What I find interesting - and sad - is that Audrey seems to either not see his desperation or choses to ignore it because she somehow believes it will make it easier for both of them.
I think she has withdrawn to such a degree that she doesn`t truly see all of it. I mean, she called him on getting in with the guard initially and that he didn`t have to do it for her but in the end she bought his obvious lies and they used to be too attuned to each other to pull that off.
Of course, I'm pretty sure that sooner or later, Nathan's new friends will tell im to kill Duke...
Me too. And I`m so hoping for a happy end here.
At the moment, Duke seems to be the only one still on the right track, and I believe in the ( ... )

Did he actually see that inscription? I thought he only saw "Crocker". I don't think he ever saw "Love conquers all". So he'll have to figure it out himself.

Yes, he did. :) It was in Latin (Omnia vincit amor) and when they found it in Sparks and Recreation (2.04), Evie read it out loud and Duke translated it. The text was engraved and visible without the black light.
