So I picked up my computer this morning.

It seems to work fine except that I am back to using Media Player 9 and IE6. I have not yet decided whether it is prudent to upgrade to WMP 11 and IE7. The reason for this sudden lack of confidence is this:

When I picked up my computer the young tech guy was pretty decent although he still seemed to think IE 7 was the cause of all the trouble (once the bugs were erased). But as I was going to leave with my computer the manager, who was chatting with another customer, said to me "If you start messing around with it again, it will cost you to have it fixed." I looked at him incredulously and said, "All I did was uninstall SP3!" He made some other derogatory comment I don't recall, and I said "That's OK because I won't be bringing it back here in any case." and he said "Well, that's good."

All of this in front of another customer! I could not believe my ears!

I feel like emailing him and telling him he just bought himself the most expensive negative advertising program he could ever imagine. But why give him the warning? I'm just going to smear his name all over the internet and to anybody I talk to in the City as well.

So in that vein; Hear Ye Hear Ye, friends all around the world: Never even consider taking a sick computer to Cove Computers in Airdrie Alberta Canada. You will be patronized, dismissed as an idiot who should never be allowed to touch a computer and pay for the privilege into the bargain. And you may or may not be satisfied with your computer's performance when the nightmare is over!

I'm leaving this as a public post in order to reach more people. Grrrrr!
