A Request
I've spent two days shortlisting for my new archives minion, and my brain is going slightly numb. Bleh. Who knew so many people would want to come and be my official coffee maker and dogsbody?
So, this may be kinda premature, but as I've said a couple of times recently, I've got this AU series idea in my head, and I'm currently trying to figure out more of the details and work out how easy it would be to write it. I want to try to plot as much of it out before I really start writing because I've never written anything that long before, and I'm a bit scared of it.
And I was wondering if any of you lovely people would be willing to be a kind of sounding board for me about it, so that I can run through some of the basic ideas I have so far and you can tell me if it sounds interesting, and if you think it would work, because if it doesn't and wouldn't, I don't want to waste my time! I know I'm not a very good writer, and I'm hoping that I'll improve if I make the effort to write something big, but I don't want to end up spending a lot of time writing something that no one will want to read, when I could spend it on other, more useful things.
It's really hard to break into an established fandom, and I still don't really know people around here all that well, so it'd be great to have someone to bounce ideas off, and if you can throw a few back my way, so much the better. Someone who is willing to help me figure out backstory and Laura's relationship with Adar in a light that doesn't cast him as an abusive bastard would be helpful.
